Ramsar

Where the Alborz falls into the Caspian

Unverified

The technical detail for Ramsar has not been checked by a local pilot yet. Treat everything here as background reading, not as a site briefing. Fly with someone who knows the site.

Most people’s mental image of Iran is desert, which makes the Caspian coast a useful corrective: dense green forest, high rainfall, and the Alborz dropping into the sea within a few kilometres. Ramsar is the gentlest flying on this list and the obvious place for tandem passengers.

Editor’s note — fill from local knowledge, then set verified: true.

This is a reference, and references get better by being corrected. If a season is wrong, a launch has moved, or a site is missing entirely, tell us — and if you can verify the technical data for a site, that is the most useful thing anyone can send.
